Eligibility

1. Non-represented employees in the following appointment types may be nominated:
   1. career staff – partial and full-year
   2. staff in limited appointments
   3. contract staff (if stated in their contract)
   4. student employees
2. The following employee groups are not eligible for the Spot Award program because they are not included in the payroll assesssment that funds the program:
   1. Represented
   2. Per Diem
   3. Senior Management Group (SMG)
   4. Academic Employees
3. The employee’s performance must be satisfactory or above with no outstanding disciplinary actions
4. All newly hired employees must complete six months of service to be eligible
5. Employees must be on pay status at the time of payout to receive an award

Frequency

Employees may receive one Spot Award per fiscal year.
